With the continued beautiful weather, we will begin to hold small GSA meetings for ten people or less. Our re-start date for outdoor meetings is Friday, April 23rd at 7pm.
Please pre-book by email or text.
Mask wearing, physical distancing, and hand sanitizing is mandatory to attend the Spruce Grove GSA both outdoors and indoors.
Please follow the Protective Measures outline included, and pre check for symptoms or exposure before each GSA meeting.
I realize that we have been unable to meet in person for a few months. We will continue to closely follow the advice of Alberta Health and our various levels of government. Our GSA has been continuously accessible through 2020 and 2021 to anyone who would like to meet for one-on-one outdoor visits as well as through our various social media platforms Discord, Instagram, Facebook, and our website.
I am including a link to a free online course that I think is valuable in creating or increasing the visibility of affirming spaces and awareness within organizations, companies, or personal lives.
I found the information included in the 3 module course to be informative and it promoted ideas on how to better advocate for folks within our communities.
Trans Wellness Initiative Introduction to Affirming Spaces Training
Introduction to Affirming Spaces is a series of three course modules for healthcare providers that offer insight into fostering affirming healthcare practices that better serve trans and gender-diverse patients in Alberta. The training is free and administered by a collection of healthcare practitioners, academic and community-based researchers, activists, community members, university professors, and sexual health educators.
