Do you have a passion for mental health or often support others with their mental health?
Students will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
Every community, school or group has people whom others naturally turn to for help. The Community Helpers program provides support, training and resources to such helpers. Join us for this 8 week program put on by Alberta Mental Health and The Open Door.

Anticipated outcomes for helpers: equip youth to look after their own wellbeing, feel supported in their role as helpers, be skilled to help people solve their own problems, know the mental health and related resources in their community, have the ability and confidence to connect friends and acquaintances to community resources.
What the program hopes to accomplish: enhanced mental health, improved intervention and treatment for those at risk, increased help seeking behaviour, reduced stigma attached to mental health
