Summer!
Our GSA has been quite busy this summer. Pride events were rocking every weekend in June! Thank you to everyone who participated in the five events and congratulations to the winners of our prize bags. Thank you also to the many businesses and organizations who supported us through Pride month and throughout the year! The generous support is greatly appreciated and allows us to continue offering programs and events in our community. Please keep an eye on these organizations for summer fun! 2021 Alberta GSA Conference Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS) is hard at work planning the 2021 AB GSA Conference. 2021 GSA Conference Planning Committee, Call for Submissions: Are you interested in helping queer and trans youth? The 2021 Alberta GSA Conference is looking for community members to join the planning committee! As a committee member you will attend digital zoom meetings, share your thoughts and help make decisions to shape the conference and increase accessibility. Coordinated by City staff, these programs are open to local youth ages 12–18. We will continue to be a Safe Space where our youth can feel included, respected, and protected. Some of the ways you can contribute: Monetary donations, donations of non-perishable snacks for our food pantry program, click on the donate button on our website, spend time with us at different events or resource fairs) Contributions of any size will be used to support youth through the purchase of materials that will be used at our meetings, as well as to fund events within the community. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization; all funds will go to ensuring we can continue to offer services to youth. Please Donate your bottles to the Spruce Grove GSA Society!
