What's happening |
There is so much to talk about during Pride month. Here is a quick rundown of some of the things happening with our GSA!
Please message me for a list of all the fabulous online and upcoming in person events happening all around Alberta with our community organizations! Our in person GSA has been extended to 2 hours again! YAY! We don’t have to split up our meetings right now, because we currently have less restrictions. Please continue to prebook for your space 2-3 days before GSA. Also, please wear a mask and follow AHS guidelines if you are feeling unwell. The past few years we have seen an increase with some youth, either in person or through social media, who might require a few extra snacks through the day or at school. Through a generous donation by the Rotary Club in Spruce Grove, our GSA is able to expand and have a snack pantry for youth. If you are a youth looking for extra snacks throughout the week, or if you know of a youth who might need some snacks, please connect with us for a local drop off of snacks. All requests are 100% confidential. Pride events are running all month long with our Spruce Grove GSA! We have three events left, and our prize bags are full of generous donations from our local businesses and organizations! If you are entering a car in our Pride your Ride event, please fill out the registration as soon as possible. We are limiting the number of cars this year to 100. Once registered, you have a chance to win one prize of $150.00 along with a prize bag of goodies! On the day of our parade, we also have prizes to award for best dressed person and best dressed vehicle! Please see the attached information on registering for the parade! Our board has approved the purchase of medical supplies required to assist our transgender youth ages 18-24.
