Thank-you! I know those two words are never enough. But sincerely they mean so much.
One week ago today we came together as a community. We decorated cars, bikes, and beautiful fabulous human beings!
Spruce Grove had it’s very first Pride Parade!

We cannot recognize our Pride parade without acknowledging those who paved the way for us to have our event that day. Every single person who has marched for freedom, liberation, or equality.
Even as little as three years ago a group brought a Pride event to our City.
Every single person who advocates, who protests, who stands up for what they believe in... that is what allowed us to succeed that day.
Thank you.

To our families, our friends, our community. You came together and showed everyone that Spruce Grove was more than ready for Pride! Even during a difficult health situation, we rallied together to put on a Pride Parade in three weeks! This was thought up by our younger GSA kiddos out of necessity when our other events were canceled, but it has turned into something we can all participate in together! This is exactly what Pride is!!

Thank you to our Spruce Grove Councillors who attended our Pride parade! My one request was that this was not a Political Pride. Our Spruce Grove councillors came with their families, and fur babies!! They are not political, they aren’t ‘just’ councillors they are our friends and family.

And thank you to our local community businesses who reached out to us! Your participation in the parade, and in donations shows our LGBTQ2S community we have allies around us! Thank you for donating $600 towards our gift bags!
