Covid-19 update
September 16th, 2021 To our absolutely amazing GSA kids and our community: On September 15th, the government of Alberta announced a return of restrictions, and implemented a public health emergency. As the Covid-19 numbers keep climbing in our communities, we have been left with difficult decisions. The ability to support our youth and to provide everyone with a safe space, has always been our top priority. Our safe space must also consider the health and well-being of our entire community. Our youth, their families and caregivers, the members of St. Andrew’s United Church, and our tri-region. Effective immediately our GSA will be meeting outside St. Andrew’s United Church. Requirements to attend Spruce Grove GSA: • Proof of Covid vaccination • Pre-registration by email or text • Covid health checks before attending • Masking • Physical distancing • Hand sanitizing Since March 2020 every youth and adult involved with our GSA has gone above and beyond the recommended restrictions set in place by the Alberta Government and AHS. Every single one of you have my utmost love and admiration. You have done this all with smiles, laughter, and of course frustration through the past year. We will be outdoors to ensure we continue to provide the safest possible space for our youth and our community. When the weather turns and GSA is postponed, please always remember that we are not closed, we are just taking a small break until it is warm again or restrictions have lessened and it is safe for us to move indoors. All our love, Jody Tucker (she/her) GSA Coordinator | President Ash Tucker (they/them) GSA Coordinator |Vice President
